Friends Come and Go

Some friends came over this weekend and I served them delicious paninis. Here they are: 

They left soon afterwards to lunch at a local pizzeria. 

You may look at this and ask, what is it?! How could that be served to anyone? I feel no shame or embarrassment. The British Empire was built on on a diet of baked beans, cups of tea and biscuits, among other things, and this is no exception. I'm sure there are many of you who would love to sink your teeth into this sandwich. Holler out if you're one of them.  

So, to those who are building empires and don't feel like pizza, here is a pressed sandwich for you - Baked beans in tomato sauce panini.

I LOVE baked beans and to me... that looks completely 'licious!!!!! I wish I had a panini grill so I could try it. I've never thought of grilling up a baked bean sammich but mm'mmm... I now may have to try it. Thanks!!
